Dissemination of project results
From 17 to 18 March 2016, Prof. Darja Rugelj, Ph.D., a members of the project group at the Faculty of Health Sciences participated at the ACPIN conference, the international meeting of physiotherapists in neurology organised by the British association of physiotherapists in neurology. The meeting took place in Queen Elizabeth II Centre in London.
Prof. Darja Rugelj presented the Model of balance-oriented training to improve the mobility of the elderly. Her contribution was presented in the form of a poster and an organised short presentation. The poster raised a lot of interest particularly in practicing physical therapists. Over 500 physiotherapists from the United Kingdom and other countries participated at the conference.
The speakers invited to plenary sessions are internationally recognised experts in physiotherapy and the rehabilitation of people with neurological impairments. The whole conference presented the cross-section of the most topical research work in neurophysiotherapy.
